Shortbread cookies with raspberry jam filling.

Do you remember those shortbread cookies? Well, this is the same recipe turned into thumbprint/sandwich with a hole cookies filled with rasberry jam and dusted with some confectioners' sugar at the end. Really worth making it.
It's also really worth using raspberry jam because it's kind of tangy and goes super well with the sweetness of the shortbread dough.
I used Ina's recipe for the shortbread dough and Trader Joe's raspberry jam. This one seems great too.

Whole lemon bars.

This is a very easy recipe for lemon bars because you actually use a whole lemon as it is (you don't have to peel it, juice it, zest it or remove the white parts), you just remove the seeds, cut it into chunks and then it's all blended with the other ingredients in the food processor (!)-how good is that? Ok, you also need to do the tart shell but it's really easy too. The result is so good you'll be surprised (as I did). The only thing I will decrease next time is the amount of sugar added, just so I'd have a stronger lemon feel. But that's personal taste, you can adjust the sugar to your preferences.

Perfect basic style.

Just how cool are these silk shirts? I mean they have the perfect fit and the perfect boyish meets ladylike collar cut. I loooove the mustard one..and what about these men-like cotton ones? (the white one is my favorite).. And what's the greatest thing? Price versus quality situation. I mean seriously, the perfect soft cotton tee for 15$? Yes, I'm happy to find simple, affordable, basic, everyday wear that will last for long. Good job, everlane!

Chocolate silk pie.

This is a pie made using chocolate cookie crumbs as a base and whose recipe found at Deb's (from smitten kitchen) cookbook. Interesting combo if you're into sweet chocolate things paired with fluffy whipped cream and a crunchy base coming to a contrast with the silkiness, but I think it was too sweet for my tastes. Next time I think I'll use less sugar or even better: no sugar at all..;)
