Cauliflower soup

When I came across this recipe found in an old Gourmet magazine, it seemed promising, so I thought I should try it. And now I am so glad I did..Serve it with parsley and croutons and its velvet texture will surely gain your tastes!!

Cauliflower soup  (serves 4 people)
Adapted from Gourmet magazine

the florets of a cauliflower
2 medium potatoew sliced
olive oil
1 leek, sliced
juice of 1/2 medium lemon
white wine vinegar
freshly grated nutmeg
allspice
salt and freshly ground pepper
parsley and croutons to serve

Add the cauliflower florets in a pan with salted water and vinegar. Let stand 30 minutes. Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat and brown the leeks. Salt, add potatoes and sauté until they get a nice golden color. Remove with a slotted spoon the leek and potatoes from the pan and add a grain of allspice and nutmeg. Sauté until cauliflower gets softened and slightly colored. Add the cauliflower, leeks, potatoes and a liter of water in a saucepan, cover and boil for 17-20 minutes. Blend the ingredients of the soup with broth and lemon juice in blender. Taste, add salt and pepper, garnish with parsley and a few croutons and serve immediately. If the soup is too thick for your taste, dilute with boiling water.

Bon appetit!

Pasta with tomato sauce

You should definitely try out this recipe found here cause it is really amazing! I could eat the whole casserole, that's for sure..and the most incredible thing about this sauce is that it really brings back childhood memories...
You will basically need three incredients: canned tomatoes, butter and onions (plus of course pasta of your choice and parmezan if you like). Good luck!!

Fresh french

I remember when I noticed Manoush clothes for the first time, about three years ago, and I was absolutely thrilled. And every time I am to check on its new collection I know it will be one to die for.
The style is so vintagey-folklorisch-bohemish and each piece so well-made, it's really worth trying them on at least once!

The easiest breakfast

When you are in a hurry and you want something sweet to eat with your coffee in the morning, this is a perfect solution not only because it's yummy but because it's giving you a lot of energy for the rest of your day. Put the toast bread in the toaster and fill it with some chocolate pieces. You can spread them with butter as well if you want..When chocolate melts, chocolate toast is ready! It only takes a few minutes and it's the best thing..

This is music

I didn't exactly knew what kind of music, London based, Athena Andreadis was all about, not until yesterday that I listened to the unplugged version of her new song, Finding England, and I really, really, really loved it! Check it out - it is awesome..

Homemade chocolate cookies

There are times that I am bored to death with the ready-made stuff and I really want to have my own homemade cookies. These are so good you don't want to stop eating..especially when you are a chocolate fan like me! They are filled with "ganache" (chocolate cream) and I think because of that the cookies become softer..and ready to be dunked into a cup of tea!

Seriously, one thing I have really been obsessed with is large, vintage-like necklaces. I think it's the best accessory to wear and really stand out. Whether you wear them with a complete one-colour outfit or a little more mix&match kind of thing, they will always make a style statement!!
