Tom Binns and his masterpieces

I think it was at Vogue UK that I first saw his work and I remember I had stayed with my mouth wide open for quite a while it's true. The man is beyond words. One of my favourite jewellery designers ever. This is some of his latest work. Tom Binns.

Chocolate cookies with pink icing

I used the following recipe for my chocolate cookies (which is really easy), I had these Ikea cutters (so it was a real fun- especially for my little prince- if you have children I definitely suggest you to do this) and at the end I added some icing to give them a little christmas "spirit". It was my first ever attempt to use icing as a decoration so don't judge me too badly..;-)

So here is the recipe:

You will need: 200gr butter, 120gr sugar, 1 egg, 300gr flour, 25gr dark cocoa

Beat butter, sugar and egg together with the mixer until well combined. Add the flour and cocoa (which you have previously sifted). Wrap the dough in plastic and put it in the fridge for half an hour. Roll out dough in a surface to a 2,5cm thick and cut into shapes of your choice. Spread on baking sheets lined with parchment papers and bake for 20 minutes to 170 degrees. Let cool and decorate them if you like.

Enjoy!

Crepes au chocolat

One of my favourite desserts ever are crepes. With chocolate. Dark chocolate. It may be due to the fact that it reminds me a lot of my childhood (my dad had always been a huge fan), so every once in a while I find myself frying a crepe batter. It is such a delicate dessert, great for breakfast as well, and if you like this kind of sweets (half dough-like, half chocolate), it really is one of the best..
