this is one of my top favorite comedy series, there are only a few times that I haven't cried to tears from excessive laughing. too good.

Hot chocolate and christmas plants.


these days call for a cup of hot, luscious thick chocolate, don't you think?
what I usually make lately is the following:

1 cup of milk
5 to 6oz of dark chocolate
some ground cinammon (depending on your tastes)
and a pinch of cayenne, to add a bit of spice

I mix them all in a small saucepan on a low heat till the chocolate melts and stirring continuously and in a few minutes you're good to go, sit and enjoy!


15-minute avocado pasta.

This recipe is so so good you need to add it most definitely to your list of easy favorites. My kids have looooved it too from the very beginning, they are like "leaking" all over their plate at the very end (very rare thing indeed) which makes mama happy..Its base is avocado and what it does is it basically makes a sort of pesto which is then added and mixed with the cooked pasta. You can use whatever pasta you want (I used linguini this time). Just make sure you don't forget to add the lemon zest cause it really gives that extra something to the plate.

15-minute creamy avocado pasta (adopted from here)

9 ounces (255 g) uncooked pasta (use gluten-free, if desired)
1 to 2 small cloves garlic, to taste
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, plus more for serving
1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, to taste
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 ripe medium avocado, pitted
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (1 to 2 mL) fine-grain sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Lemon zest, for serving

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
While the pasta cooks, make the sauce: In a food processor, combine the garlic and basil and pulse to mince.
Add the lemon juice, oil, avocado flesh, and 1 tablespoon (15  mL) water and process until smooth, stopping to scrape down the bowl as needed. If the sauce is too thick, add another 1 tablespoon (15 mL) water. 
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain the pasta and place it back in the pot. Add the avocado sauce and stir until combined. You can gently rewarm the pasta if it has cooled slightly, or simply serve it at room temperature.
Top with lemon zest, pepper, and fresh basil leaves, if desired.

Knight rider.

So, the kids are watching like craaaaazy the knight rider for the last few months, I can't believe my eyes how this became an addiction to them really, I keep telling myself it can't be happening: this is a series of the '80s (!), when I was watching it like a maniac and at a time there weren't all of these stuff going on nowawadays..
Anyway, it is such a treat for me to watch them have the same passion with it again and takes me back to those times when I couldn't wait for that (same) day and time of airing that put me straight on the couch and had me admiring KIT and his crazy spins..
On another note, I now realize how obsessive are the clothes in the series, needless to say a thing about the haircuts-
Did you know that Stevie Nicks was a huge Michael's crush? well, now you know!
I love her haircut in the above episode! so now.

The music is also killing it as you can imagine..


Bloody mary making.

I recently had this bloody mary mix from trader joe's just so I can ease my way to the making of the bloody mary cocktail and it proved to be so good. This mix has also clam juice in it so maybe that's something that adds to the final taste. I just added ice and vodka, shook it well for 10 seconds, put it in my favorite mason jar mug with some squeezed lime and a celery stick and here you go: The perfect bloody mary is in your hands in 20 seconds..cheers!

we went to this place the other day called saltyard where we had lots of kinds of small (or not so small) plates which we all shared (one thing I love when going out), such as fresh papardelle (I'm a sucker for fresh pasta), matzoh ball soup, oysters, roasted red pepper bruschetta and the list goes on and on..the place has also a choice of some really cool drinks/cocktails as well as a list of desserts you don't want to miss. we had the creme brulee and the chocolate nemesis and they were both fantastique! if you find yourselves in the neighborhood, check it out-xx
