Best margarita recipe

I just found the perfect margarita recipe you guys! So, if you love margaritas or if you love Taco Tuesdays accompanied by a good margarita or if you just want a new cocktail recipe to try out, it is here for you to share:)

Margarita

ice cubes
3 oz tequila, (I use Cazadores blanco tequila which I love)
2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
1 tablespoon lime-salt-sugar

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, Simple Syrup. Cover and shake until mixed and chilled, about 30 seconds. (In general, the drink is ready by the time the shaker mists up.) Place Lime-salt-sugar on a plate. Press the rim of a chilled rocks or wine glass into the mixture to rim the edge. Strain margarita into the glass.

*Simple Syrup

1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

*Lime-salt-sugar

zest of 1 lime
2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons sugar

Blend together lime, salt and sugar in a small blender or mini food chopper.

Tip: Remember to strain margarita into the glass:) no need to put the ice cubes in or it will become watery and it will ruin the whole taste

Cheers!

      Southern charm

Nestled in the heart of New Orleans, Willa Jean is the place to be and makes it to the top of my wishlist for southern food and delicacies whichever time of the day. Biscuits 'n gravy, peanut butter hot chocolate, salmon tartine, fried oyster benedict (!), huevos rancheros, cornbread puddin' or a perfectly made cocktail, I'm all for it!

      On my radar

Located in London, in one of its finest hotels, this place is definitely one to transfer you back in time. I love the decor, the velvets and the antiques that give it that sense of elegance of the '20s and '30s..Sipping down one (or two or three) of their Golden Age crafted cocktails this venue is one to not surpass.

      Take me there

Consisting of five different restaurants and bars Sketch combines three of my favorite things, food, art and music, is situated on an 18th century building in London and simply overflows from great deco and design..yes, take me there.

      Homemade cocktail drink & recipe.

Just so that I can keep track of my right out of my head moments of spontaneous creativity for new recipes, (remember fellow bloggers: this is also a place to right them down), I am delivering you one that can become an obsession, really.

This is a rum cocktail drink I recently attempted to experiment with, so here what I came up with:

you can obviously bring it to your tastes, depending on how strong or not you like it, so this how I went:

I began by pouring ice in a low cocktail glass and a portion of white rum, I then added some pink lemonade, a few drops of agave syrup and some lime juice. Bingo! The portions were right, exactly to my likings, the agave syrup is giving the right amount of just a hint of sweetness (which is something I'm looking for in a drink) but not to the overall result which has also has the citrus-y flavors and eventually bring it to the perfect balance.

      *attention: it may become addictive..:b

      Bocado.

We had dinner at Bocado recently. The place is making a really good burger (that's what it actually is famous for) but what I absolutely loved was the fact that you can have really wonderful salads. The quinoa and the black rice ones were probably my favorites..One of the cons: the small portions, but hey! maybe it's for the better, don't ya think? ;)

      Bloody mary making.

I recently had this bloody mary mix from trader joe's just so I can ease my way to the making of the bloody mary cocktail and it proved to be so good. This mix has also clam juice in it so maybe that's something that adds to the final taste. I just added ice and vodka, shook it well for 10 seconds, put it in my favorite mason jar mug with some squeezed lime and a celery stick and here you go: The perfect bloody mary is in your hands in 20 seconds..cheers!
